Progressive Medical Equipment Gains Accreditation

Lenexa, KS – Progressive Medical Equipment, LLC, a locally-owned provider of home oxygen, home medical and rehabilitation equipment, was recently informed of its accreditation status through the Community Health Accreditation Program, Inc. (CHAP). CHAP is an independent, non-profit accrediting body which publicly certifies that an organization has voluntarily met the highest standards of excellence for home and/or community-based health care services.

Progressive Medical Equipment built its business on providing the most medically appropriate equipment for patients based on four important criteria: 1) knowledgeable and well-trained rehab specialists, 2) thorough assessment of a patient’s medical equipment needs, 3) working closely with a patient’s therapist and/or medical provider and, 4) follow up to ensure patient satisfaction.

“Our owner has the philosophy that our greatest responsibility lies in becoming each patient’s health advocate, in regards to increasing quality of life through appropriate medical equipment,” stated Melissa Fisher, President and licensed physical therapist. “This philosophy penetrates throughout our entire staff, which I believe is the best DME staff in the Kansas City Area. The CHAP accreditation lets the community we serve know that an independent, regulatory body, based on their own criteria, acknowledges our commitment to adhering to standards of excellence and consistency in providing quality service,” says Fisher.
