Waldren Joins Progressive Medical Equipment

Progressive Medical Equipment, LLC, a locally-owned provider of home oxygen, home medical and rehabilitation equipment, recently added Shawnee Waldren to their rehab specialist team. Waldren, who lives in Grain Valley, MO, previously owned and managed Freedom Mobility, a provider of accessibility products such as ramps, wheelchairs, scooter lifts and stair lifts. Waldren will service communities that are south and east of the Kansas City Metro. “We have found that many communities outside of the Metro Area are in great need of rehabilitation professionals to assist the disabled and elderly community with their mobility needs,” stated Melissa Fisher, company president and licensed physical therapist.

According to the company’s founder and CEO, Gerald Sloan, “Shawnee has the industry experience and knowledge we were looking for in a rehab specialist. He understands our commitment and standards of excellence for providing home and community-based health care services. Having grown up in south central Missouri, Shawnee is also familiar with the communities he will be serving, so it will be an easy transition for him to become a patient’s advocate for greater mobility.”

When asked why he wanted to join the Progressive Medical Equipment team, Waldren stated that “every time I heard Progressive Medical Equipment’s name or the owner’s name come up in conversation, it was always a positive comment. Progressive has a good reputation in the industry and that’s the type of company I want to work for.”
